Florida has had lots of weather events recently and we continue to have some activity brewing but here’s what’s going on for fishing in our Sarasota area waters:

INSHORE FISHING: We’re seeing lots of trout, snook and redfish with good activity most days.  Cobia and gags are starting to show up in the bay as well. Many of our guests and locals as well are really surprised to discover that fact. With cooler weather the Snook are moving up in the creaks and canals.  We are predominantly targeting the Reds and Trout on the grass flats.

OFFSHORE FISHING: Kings, Spanish Mackerel and Tuna are showing up on the beaches along with Cobia.  The Gags are starting to move around and get in shallower water.  Red Grouper, Mangs (Mangrove Snapper), Lanes and Yellow Tail have been cooperative in 107-125ft of water.
